Brylcream

When I was a teenager there was an ad for Brylcream, a very masculine hunk , naked torso, applying Brylcream on his hair . Wet hair look never fascinated me , but masculine biceps did. After many years I saw a young male professor with lots of Brylcream on his hair, combed back in the typical Indian 'babumoshai' style. To be very honest, it did not impress me. I used to see my father wet his hair with water and then back comb it. He looked good. 

Some people have a dislike for baldness. I don't think bald men are ugly, I just don't like the three-four strands of hair covering the blank head. It is better to be respectably bald than try this fake meagre attempt to convince one's ego that one is not bald. My daughter's tuition teacher who looks otherwise ordinary has a good mane. A few days back my over-thinking brain would lead me to imagine how he would look without that mane. He appeared to be scary. Shahrukh Khan in Jawan and Ranveer Singh in Dhurandaar showed how you can look masculine with long hair . Men can have long hair provided it is well-maintained. It is okay to be bald, it is beyond yourself to stop it, so it is better to accept it and get going.Extremities of any form catches the eye, just as an old man with an exceptionally dark black hair or a young man with white hair.

But you would then ask me that the same applies to fairness creams as well. True! it is our insecurities which encourage the market economy.The more insecure we are, the more profit business the market makes which again in turn raises the stock values , which if you are interested in stock market is beneficial for you. But a chunk of the mass which loses the money, is insecure about his/her looks, remains poor and insecure and this cycle continues. For no reason, is the market for such products called FM CG- Fast Moving Consumer Goods. It really is fast moving with one product replacing the other in lightening speed.

So, bug up, stop  and if you cannot stop control your insecurities. Motivate yourself for change. You are your own inspiration. Accept yourself  and channelize yourself everyday for a better you. Brylcreams can't bring that change.
